Gurukul Values & discipline

Located in the foothills of Himalayas Shaolin Gurukul is India's first and largest residential training centre for kungfu and other martial arts. Surrounded by lush greenery in the midst of the mountains, training at Shaolin Gurukul comprises of a variety of training modules for attendees ranging from authentic Shaolin Kungfu combat, weapons training, meditation, qigong, and many more.

Shaolin Gurukul norms are adopted keeping the ancient Indian Gurukul system in mind and we expect every student to adhere to these rules.

  1. Students enrolling for the Shaolin Gurukul's course are expected to stay in a dormitory that is shared by 20 people maximum. Apart from that we have two Jungle Safari tents for females that can accommodate five people in one tent.
  2. Spacious jungle safari tents are well covered in order to prevent any kind of insects entering inside the tents.
  3. Students entering and leaving tents are expected to properly zip the tents to avoid any insects entering.
  4. All lights and electronic devices are ti be switched off when not in use.
  5. Every student is expected to keep the Gurukul and its surroundings clean and take care of their belongings.
  6. All students are expected to wash their own cutlery and clothes.
  7. Smoking, drinking or any kind of drugs is strictly prohibited in the Gurukul.
  8. Students are expected to get up early in the morning at least by 6:00 am and be on time for meals
  9. We mainly serve simple vegetarian meals at Gurukul. Eggs can be made available on personal request.
  10. No student is permitted to enter the Gurukul kitchen.
  11. Students are encouraged to carry their own headpieces to avoid disturbance to the tent/ dormitory mates while listening to music.
  12. We request everyone to avoid taking shoes inside the tents to maintain a clean and hygienic space inside the tent/ Dormitory.
  13. Eating inside the tents or Dorms is strictly prohibited.
  14. We provide bedsheets and blankets with mattresses but incase any student requires any extra bedsheet or blanket they are most welcome to Carry it.
  15. We request campers to carry minimum plastic items to the campsite.
  16. Washing machine is available at the camp site, students can use it at their own convenience after consulting the management team.
  17. We are not responsible for any loss of valuables. You are most welcome to bring at your own risk.
  18. Drinking, smoking or consumption of any kind of mind altering substance (Hard or soft drugs) is strictly prohibited.

All participants are requested to inform if you have gone through some serious injury, accident, operation or facing serious health issues. Kindly seek your doctors guide before registering for the camp.
