About shaolin Gurukul

Located in the foothills of Himalayas Shaolin Gurukul is India's first and largest residential training centre for kung fu and other martial arts. Surrounded by lush greenery in the midst of the mountains, training at Shaolin Gurukul comprises a variety of training modules for attendees ranging from authentic Shaolin Kung Fu combat, weapons training, meditation, qigong, and many more.

Shaolin Gurukul norms are adopted keeping the ancient Indian Gurukul system in mind and we expect every student to adhere to these rules.

  • Students (boys) enrolling for the Shaolin Gurukul's course are expected to stay in a dormitory that is shared by 20 people maximum.
  • Apart from that we have two safari jungle tents for girls that can accommodate five girls in one tent.
  • Spacious jungle safari tents are well covered in order to prevent any kind of insects entering inside the tents. •Whenever students are getting in and out of the tents, they are expected to properly zip the tents to avoid any insects.
  • Switch off the lights when not in use.
  • Every student is expected to keep the Gurukul and its surroundings clean and take care of belongings.
  • All martial arts students are expected to wash their own cutlery and clothes.
  • Smoking, drinking or any kind of drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are expected to get up early in the morning at least by 6:00 am and be on time when lunch, breakfast and dinner is served.
  • We mainly serve simple vegetarian meals at Gurukul. Eggs can be made available on personal request.
  • No student is permitted to enter the Gurukul kitchen.
  • Students are encouraged to carry their own head pieces to avoid disturbance to your tent mates of your music choice.
  • We request everyone to avoid taking shoes inside the tents to maintain a clean and hygienic space.
  • Eating inside the tents or Dorms is strictly prohibited.
  • We provide bedsheets and blankets with mattresses but inase any student requires any extra bed sheet or blanket they are most welcome to Carry it.
  • We request campers to carry minimum plastic items to the campsite.
  • Washing machine is available at the campsite, students can use it at their own convenience after consulting the management team.
  • We are not responsible for any loss of valuables. You are most welcome to bring at your own risk.
  • Drinking, smoking or consumption of any kind of mind altering substance (Hard or soft drugs) is strictly prohibited.

  • In case you have gone through some serious injury, accident, operation or facing serious health issues Kindly seek your doctor's advice before registering for the camp and also inform us about all your medical conditions or any past injury on the first day of the camp.
