system of Self Defense for Women
Empowerment |
|
Women
take self-defense courses for a variety
of reasons, but underlying all of them
is the reality of specific kinds of
violence. Sexual assault and domestic
violence are, by far, the most common
types of violence women experience. |
-
Sks
system of women self defence is also
based on the principle of 3e( easy,
effective and economical).
-
Sks system helps the women to get of
very tight situation such as Rape,
holds, robbing etc.
-
Sks system deals a lot with Fear
psychosis and helps in developing mental
toughness.
-
The main aim is to help women be aware
of their surrounding and have a great
presence of mind.

Self Defence Techniques
for Women |
|
|
These
special and easy techniques will helps
women to finish the fight as
quickly as possible and run out of the
tight situation.
In order to be most effective, self
defence classes for women should promote
a women’s self worth, courage and self
-esteem.
Effective programs should be based on
what women already do, and provide them
with an opportunity to practice their
skills.
Sks system of Self Defence teaches women
and girls to be resourceful and to
surprise the attacker rather than
relying on physical strength. In this,
you learn to aim at vulnerable targets
where your strength will be effective. |

A Self Defence
workshop for
Women Empowerment
was organized in VDJS (VIDYA
DEVI JINDAL SCHOOL, a
Residential School for
Girls since 1984) for
about 200 students from
Dec 3rd - Dec 8th, 2007,
which was conducted by
Kanishka Sharma and his
team. Kanishka Sharma
has been practicing
Martial Arts for the
last nineteen years. It
was an elevating and
strengthening experience
for Grade IX and XI as
they learned many
techniques powering
different body parts.
The tough sessions they
were put through were
exhausting enough to let
them hibernate for
hours. But the
meditation that followed
was soothing enough to
relax their tired
bodies. It was
astonishing for them to
learn the fact
|
|
|
|
that even the every day
activities can act as
self defence techniques
against assaults. On the
whole, the training
prepared the girls to
face the pressures and
challenging aspects of
the contemporary
society.
