Shaolin Temple Cultural Center, India

Kanishka's dream project, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center India, the first such branch of the original in India, is all set to kick off this year.
It is situated at a beautiful location at Aurovalley Ashram Rishidwar (located at the foothills of the Himalayan Shivalik Mountains in the North of India).
Kanishka has trained under Shifu Shi Yan Zi, a monk who has spent 15 years in a famous temple in China, learning the martial art form made famous by innumerable Hollywood movies, legend and myth was. He was in New Delhi recently to promote the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center in India.

Shaolin Temple Cultural Center India exists with the mission of
• promoting the true and rich culture of Shaolin to the different sections of the society for their welfare and betterment.
• Getting back the traditional Shaolin concepts of Chan (ZEN), Wu (Martial Arts) and Yi(Medicine) to India, from where it all started.

Following specialized courses would be running throughout the year at the Temple:

Police Kung-fu combines the best combat techniques from some of the most renowned martial arts, like ShaoLin Kungfu, Kali, Jeet-kune-do (the art of Bruce Lee) and Muay Thai, into a complete discipline.
In real life crises situations the police has to take split seconds decisions allowing little time for thinking and therefore Police kung-fu is essentially an intuitive reaction to the moves of the opponent, relying more on spontaneity and less on fancy postures and moves.

Women take self-defense courses for a variety of reasons,

but underlying all of them is the reality of specific kinds of violence.
 Sexual assault and domestic violence are, by far, the most common types of violence women experience.
• Sks system of women self defense is also based on the principle of 3e( easy, effective and economical)
• Sks system helps the women to get of very tight situation such as Rape, holds, robbing etc.
• Sks system deals a lot with Fear psychosis and helps in developing mental toughness.
• The main aim is to help women be aware of their surrounding and have a great presence of mind.
• Sks system has been developed by Grand Master Sitta wang and master Kanishka Sharma by amalgamating martial arts styles like Shaolin kungfu, Jeet-kune-do and Dumog.

Da Bei Qi Gong (for perfect Corporate Health):
With its roots in Buddhism, this is a most powerful form of Qi Gong, it derives from the Yi Jing Ching and is an excellent internal exercise and a well regulated system. It is a meditative, relaxing practice for the cultivation of energy and compassion, that can be practiced sitting or standing.

Ba Duan Jing Qi Gong:
Ba Duan Jing is 800 years old Shaolin Qi Gong. This is made up of 8 movements from Shaolin Temple treasure like Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jing. If you train Ba Duan Jing you will improve your muscle tendons. It opens the meridians in your body so that the chi can flow easily. Ba Duan Jing gives you more energy, builds up your immune system, strengthen your internal organs and slow down the ageing process.

Abbot Shi Yong Xin

The Inauguration Of Abbot Shi Yong Xin

A Dharma gathering was held between August 19 and 20, 1999, in the Shaolin Monastery, Songshan, China, for Buddhist Master Yong Xin to take office as abbot. He is the thirteenth successor after Buddhist abbot Xue Ting Fu Yu.

The Shaolin Monastery has experienced a 1,500 year history since its establishment in 495 A.D, during the reign of the North Wei Dynasty. It is the Biggest school of Buddhism in China since the Tang Dynasty. During this long period, a unique kung fu art was developed combining Zen doctrine and martial arts, the most impressive symbol of Chinese nationality. 

The new abbot and Buddhist Master Yong Xin has been a monk since his childhood and followed in the footsteps of the previous abbot, Xin Zheng. In the past twenty years after the former abbot passed away in 1987, Master Yong Xin has taken on the duty to help Buddhism flourish. He has completed many works for Shaolin, reforming the Dharma hall, bell tower, drum tower, and has compiled and classified the cultural relics of the Shaolin Monastery.

Master Yong Xin has also published his writings and issued magazines, and promoted various Buddhist activities. He is also engaged in domestic and foreign exchanges. The recovery and development of the Shaolin Monastery are attributed to his tenacious work. His work is praised by the government, celebrities, and widely respected by Buddhists.

Master Yong Xin has even been recommended and is now elected as chairman of Henan Province Buddhists Association, representative of Ninth National People's congress. Buddhist Master Yong Xin deserves the honor and position of abbot of Shaolin Monastery, and the congratulations from people and heaven.

Shaolin Temple UK is setup by the legendary Shifu Shi Yanzi and Shi Yan Lei, 34th generation fighting monks.

The goal for the Shaolin Temple in the UK is to promote real Gong fu practice in the traditional form, Shaolin's famous Qi gong internal techniques as well as the free fighting application of San Shou.

Master Shi Heng Jun, 35 years old, the 35th generation warrior monk of Shaolin Temple started his Shaolin life and study Buddhism and Shaolin kungfu following with grand abbot Shi Yan Fo when he was 15 years old.

Master Shi Heng Jun is the elder brother of the well-know "Three Brothers in Shaolin", with his two younger Shaolin brothers Shi Xing Hong (currently teaching in Budapest, Hungary) and Shi Xing Hao (Houston, US., He is all-around equally proficient in the 5 aspects of Kung Fu, Forms, Sparring, Weaponry, Demonstration, and Teaching.

 He is also famous in Shaolin by his Qi Gong knowledge and is especially proficient in Dian Xue( punching the lethal point of the body) and Qin Na (locking techniques). Master Shi Heng Jun is accomplished in Shaolin Lohan Quan (Arhat Boxing); Drunken style like Drunkard Fist; Preying Mantis, Diamond Fist, Plum Blossom Boxing, Chin Na (Catch and lock).

He is also good in Shaolin weapons include Drunkard Sword, Shaolin Saber, Monks Spade, Shaolin Spear, Shaolin Magic Wind Cudgel and many more... Qi Gong (Chi Kung) like Yi Jin Jing, 8 section meditation (Ba Duan Jin), Marrow Washing (Xi Sui Jing), Sitting Chan (Genuine Zen method), Eighteen Lohan Qigong are also Master Shi Heng Jun's specialties.
