Shaolin Temple Cultural Center, India |
|
|
Kanishka's dream
project, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center
India, the first such branch of the
original in India, is all set to kick off
this year.
It is situated at a beautiful location at
Aurovalley Ashram Rishidwar (located at the
foothills of the Himalayan Shivalik
Mountains in the North of India).
Kanishka has trained under Shifu Shi Yan Zi,
a monk who has spent 15 years in a famous
temple in China, learning the martial art
form made famous by innumerable Hollywood
movies, legend and myth was. He was in New
Delhi recently to promote the Shaolin Temple
Cultural Center in India.
Shaolin Temple Cultural Center India exists
with the mission of
• promoting the true and rich culture of
Shaolin to the different sections of the
society for their welfare and betterment.
• Getting back the traditional Shaolin
concepts of Chan (ZEN), Wu (Martial Arts)
and Yi(Medicine) to India, from where it all

|

Temple Cultural Center India would cater and
benefit to people from all fields of life
including the Corporates, Women, School
Children, Armed Forces and the Police |
|
|
Following specialized courses would
be running throughout the year at
the Temple:
Police Kung-fu combines the
best combat techniques from some of
the most renowned martial arts, like
ShaoLin Kungfu, Kali, Jeet-kune-do
(the art of Bruce Lee) and Muay
Thai, into a complete discipline.
In real life crises situations the
police has to take split seconds
decisions allowing little time for
thinking and therefore Police
kung-fu is essentially an intuitive
reaction to the moves of the
opponent, relying more on
spontaneity and less on fancy
postures and moves.
Women take self-defense
courses for a variety of reasons,
